Color Curve - A graphic mechanism for displaying color measurements and for making color changes to an image. User adjustments to the angle and slope of the curve implement color changes to one or all of an images color channels.
HotSyncr - The process and software by which data is synchronized between a Palm OS device and another computer to send and retrieve information (i.e., Contact Information).
Hi-Fi Audio - An audio signal that is more accurately reproduced for better sound quality.
Dot - Dots make up an image in color separations or halftones. Halftone dots will have a fixed density but have variable size (amplitude modulation).
COFDM modulation technique. This technical standard has been used in Europe and other places for digital TV. 8VSB is used in the U.S.
LCD. (Liquid Crystal Displays) - A flat panel technology, using thin-film crystal techniques, widely used in laptop computers, other small portable displays and more recently in televisions. Image brightness can be very high and color performance can be good. For HDTV, wide-screen displays of adequate resolution are available up to about 94 cm (37 in.) for direct viewing. LCD devices are also widely used as the key element in many projection televisions, both front and rear screen, up to very large sizes.
LCD - (Liquid Crystal Display) - A common display technology. LCD is likely to replace CRTs in the smallest HDTV's.
