Interlocking controls - To avoid accidentally changing a camera parameter, some cameras require you to use multiple controls simultaneously to change a setting. This prevents accidental setting changes while carrying the camera.
Pan-and-scan - A method of broadcasting a wide screen film on a 4:3 channel. Most of the time just the center of the image is shown. (The right and left edges are clipped off.)

Velocity Modulated Scan - An advanced circuitry located along the neck of the CRT that senses transitions from dark to light in the video signal. The black and white portions of the signal are sped up and slowed down respectively, resulting in sharp dark to light transitions and outstanding edge definition.
CD-ROM-XA (CD-ROM Extended Architecture) - A specific type of compact disc-read only device that is compatible with the Photo CD format and other CD applications. Multiple session Photo CD's cannot be fully utilized on non-XA drives.
Time Scan/Speedwatch - Allows you to skip commercials and previews during playback.
