Solid State Sensor - The use of chip technology (MOS or Metal Oxide Semi-Conductor and CCD or Charged Couple Device) to produce images. Pixels are the individual sensors making up the solid state device.
Centre Channel - With centre channel, the front centre speaker in a Dolby® Pro-Logic® and Dolby® Digital surround system has four centre channel modes. Choose Normal when you have a small centre speaker; Phantom, for no centre speaker; Wide when you have a full-sized centre speaker; or Centre Off when you are sending the centre channel information to another amplifier via the centre channel preamp output.
S-video - Also called Y/C, this two-wire standard keeps the color separate from the intensity signal, and thus avoids the overlapping sideband problem of composite signals. (Converting an NTSC signal to S-video gains you nothing since what was lost cannot be recreated.) - Although the quality of S-video is close to component video, S-video cannot transport anything better than 480i.

EDTV - Enhanced Definition Television. A term defining a television that displays the picture (either from SDTV or HDTV) at a resolution of 480p lines in either 4 - 3 or 16 - 9 aspect ratio and which includes Dolby Digital AC-3 multichannel sound.
AMP - A measurement for electrical current.
Color temperature - This describes how white is displayed. Low temperature means slightly reddish, while high temperature means slightly bluish. Standard NTSC white corresponds to the color a glowing hot object would be at 6500ø K
