Cradle - A device the handheld computer is placed in to synchronize data with the desktop computer. Cradles connects to the computer via USB or serial connection. Some types also recharge handheld computer batteries as well.
Megapixel - A measure of resolution that reflects the ability of a digital camera to record detail. The more megapixels a camera has, the more detail its images can contain and the more they can be enlarged without losing clarity. More megapixels aren't always necessary, however. CMY (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow) - These three subtractive primary colors are used in color-negative printing and in some color output devices to produce a full gamut of color. The combination of pure CMY inks produces black, and the elimination of all three produces white.
Digital Auto Tracking - Automatically adjusts tracking on a VCR to optimize playback of previously recorded tapes.
Theatre Surround Mode - One of several different modes in audio receivers and systems that shape sound to more closely resemble a live performance. Theatre mode recreates the same intimate feeling you get in a theatre when watching plays, musicals and solo performances.
OCR (Optical Character Recognition) - Software that allows the computer to convert documents that have been scanned and saved in a graphics format back into editable text.
