Multipoint convergence - Projection TVs with 3 CRTs require periodic adjustment to keep the 3 images perfectly aligned. Typically this is a simple 5 minute procedure the consumer must do every month or so.
DVD - Digital Versatile Disk. An optical recording media similar to the familiar CD but having seven times its capacity on a single side. In television applications, DVD's are capable of carrying full-length commercial movies, plus additional material such as outtakes, director's notes, movie trailers, etc.

Split-Screen Display - Lets you view two programs at once by dividing the screen down the middle. Each program is shown at full height, with one program on the left side and the other on the right. The feature is similar to picture-in-picture, but at a much larger size. Audio is played from the program on the left. To listen to audio from the program on the right, simply switch the pictures using the SWAP button.
MPEG2 - Gets its name from the Motion Picture Experts Group, an international standards-setting panel. It is a video compression standard that enables more data to be packed onto DVD discs.
Datacasting - The inclusion of additional data in the broadcasting stream. Such data may be related to the current program (e.g. sports statistics) or may be completely independent (e.g. software downloading or traffic advisories).
