Bleed - Printing term referring to an image or inked area which extends to the edge of a printed piece. The bleed is the portion of the artwork that is beyond the trim marks of the piece. SDTV - (standard definition TV) - SDTV is 480i, which is approximately the resolution of NTSC and DVDs.
Hertz (Hz.) - A scale used for measuring the number of cycles per second.
Feathering - A technique in many image editing programs that allows for the softening of the edge around a selection.
ATSC - An acronym for advanced television systems committee, and the name of the DTV system used by broadcasters in the U.S.
