Aspect Ratio - Refers to the shape of picture appearing on TV screen. The ratio compares the width of the picture to the height. Standard TV broadcasts and cablecasts use a 4:3 aspect ratio, while most movies are shot in an approximately 16:9 ratio.
Line Doubling - A method used in some televisions to improve the visual quality of an NTSC interlaced picture, making it comparable to a progressively scanned picture.
24-bit Color - A digital color model that uses eight bits each for the three additive colors red, green and blue; creating more than 16 million colors.

DTS - Digital Theatre Sound System. A Dolby proprietary discrete 5.1 channel surround system similar to, but not the same as Dolby Digital AC-3, the DTV standard. DTS is used in cinema presentations and in DVD's.
Optical Zoom - Optical zoom magnifies the size of an image by adjusting the lens. Unlike digital zoom, optical zoom enlarges the subject without sacrificing resolution.
