Memo Function - Allows you to save whatever image is on the screen for viewing at a later time. You can save up to 6 screen images that can be displayed simultaneously, or one at a time on the right half of the TV screen.
Newton Rings - Concentric multicolored rings caused by the pressing of film to glass. This can be a problem in scanning from negatives or transparencies.
Set-top Converter Box - This unit sits on top of the viewer's analog TV, receives the Digital TV signal, converts it to an analog signal, and then sends that signal on to the analog TV.
EDTV - Enhanced Definition Television. A term defining a television that displays the picture (either from SDTV or HDTV) at a resolution of 480p lines in either 4 - 3 or 16 - 9 aspect ratio and which includes Dolby Digital AC-3 multichannel sound.
WML - Wireless Markup Language
Shadow - Detail or information contained in dark areas of an image.
Impedance (audio) - The amount of resistance to current. In loudspeakers, a device with a lower impedance rating puts greater demands on the power amplifier.
